Artist's Description:
A beautiful and time-honored prayer found in the Sefer HaTechinot v�haBakashot that a wife recites for her husband is the focus of this piece. For centuries, the Jewish people have been composing these types of Techinot comprising all facets of life... for livelihood, health and virtually any request one can imagine. Please study the attached translation. Suitable to be said at anytime, many choose to recite this prayer on Friday night after the lighting of the Shabbat candles. The papercut is in the form of a traditional 17th century Italian wedding ring.
The original Hebrew calligraphy is reproduced in the form of a Giclee print. The papercut artwork is crafted as a lasercut reproduction of the original hand executed papercut. The gold vinework surrounding the text is hand-painted with gold gouache to mirror the original. Hand-assembly and hand-made colored background papers complete the piece. All pieces are signed and numbered by the artist.
Edition size is limited to 360 pieces.
