Artist's Description:

Listening to a beautiful niggun (tune) of the Hallel (Prayer of Thanksgiving) of which these verses are a part of gave rise to the inspiration for this piece.

Set in a traditional stone gate and ironwork one might find in the Old City of Jerusalem, the verses of the Psalms describe the Holy City's special feeling of tranquility and closeness to G-d.

The original Hebrew calligraphy is reproduced. The papercut artwork is crafted as a lasercut reproduction of the original hand executed papercut. Hand-detailed gold gouache, English calligraphy, assembly and hand-made colored background paper complete the piece.

Please note the different choices of color background papers. Also available in Hebrew only. Please let us know which you prefer when ordering.
